About EPIC Amigos!

EPIC Amigos! is a 4-week summer camp for kids age 3 to 11 who want to learn Spanish in a fun, interactive, immersive atmosphere.

Camp Details

Age Groups

3 to 7 years old - los patos

8 to 11 years old - las tortugas

All campers must be potty-trained.

Price

$130 per week. There is a 10% discount if you enroll your child for the entire program and payment in full is received prior to the start of the program.)

A $25 nonrefundable application fee is due with the application. Fee will be applied to tuition if your child attends camp.

Authorizations

Please note that participation in the program will require that parents allow their children to Receive first aid from camp staff or other staff at Lincoln Charter School and to attend field trips.

Parents will have the ability to opt out their children from being photographed or voice recorded for use in external communications including social media, websites, and newsletters.

Deposit and Registration Fees

A $25 non-refundable application is due at the time of application. A 50% deposit will secure your child's placement. Payment in full is required prior to the start of camp. The application fee is non-refundable but will be applied to tuition.

The deposit is fully refundable if camper is withdrawn in writing to [email protected] by 11:59pm on May 31, 2023 and will be 50% refundable if the child is withdrawn by 11:59pm on June 2, 2023.

The balance of full tuition is due before the start of camp.

Registration is on a first-come first-served basis. Registration is not complete until the deposit is paid.

Late Pick-up Charges

EPIC Amigos! Is open from 9:15am to 1pm. Campers can be picked up starting at 12:50 and must be picked up by 1:15pm. A family arriving after the required pick up time will be charged a late fee per child, per minute at the rate of $1.00 per minute. An EPIC Amigos! staff member will supervise a child until an authorized adult family member arrives after 1pm.

Absences

No refunds will be granted for days your child misses camp.

Withdrawals

We request a two-week notice to withdraw your child from camp. Withdrawals must be emailed to [email protected].

Cancellation

York XL reserves the right to cancel a camp day or week in case of an emergency or low enrollment. Every attempt will be made to contact camp registrants to inform them.

Conduct Policy

York XL is committed to offering high-quality programming. All Program participants should have an interest in learning Spanish and agree to participate in all activities. In the event a student's behavior is deemed disruptive to other participants (by one of the instructors), York XL reserves the right to withdraw the participant from the program. No refund will be issued.

Returned-Check/Declined Transaction Fee

If for any reason your tuition check/credit card payment does not clear for payment, York XL will charge a $35 fee.

Spanish Language & Latinx Cultural Immersion

The best way to learn Spanish is to learn it young, and to live in a Spanish-speaking for a long time. Amigos! has that first part covered. And while your child won't be traveling to a foreign country, we will recreate the immersion experience right here at home. That means for long periods during the day, teachers will only speak in Spanish. All music, videos, and other entertainment will always be in Spanish.

The Hope Street Learning Lab

For nearly a decade, the Hope Street Learning Lab has provided children with the ability to dig in the dirt to learn about gardening, aquaponics, and community food systems. We'll take it a step further by teaching them Spanish vocabulary while doing other fun activities like physical activities and scavenger hunts.

Fieldtrips to Local & Regional Attractions

We know it's summer and kids don't want to be stuck in a classroom! Neither do we. So, we will be visiting local attractions like Keystone Kidspace, and regional attractions that may take kids to Harrisburg, Hershey, or Baltimore.
